Bracknell Repair Cafe

Welcome to the Bracknell Repair Café

A new Repair Cafe is coming to Bracknell and will be located at St Andrews Church in Priestwood.

We aim to open our doors later in the year, in September/October 2026.

Our Repair Cafe will be run by local volunteers who want to help their community repair their broken items. The Repair Cafe initiative started in the Netherlands in 2009, and there are now over 2,500 Repair Cafes worldwide, with 450 or so in the UK.

Our Cafe will open once per month on a Saturday and will be a place where clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, and toys can be repaired by volunteers and you working together.

Our Cafe is both a community service and an opportunity for our volunteers to help others and share their knowledge. There is no charge for the repair although customers may have to provide parts where required, and donations are accepted to help with running costs.

Volunteers Needed !

The Bracknell Repair Cafe is now actively recruiting local volunteers.

We are looking for local volunteer fixers who can repair small domestic electrical and mechanical items such as Kettles, Coffee Makers, Vacuum Cleaners,  Lamps, Sewing Machines, Record Players, Bikes and Furniture etc as well as Fixers who can repair textiles, clothes and soft toys, and anyone who would like to offer their specialist skills to the local community.

We are also looking for volunteers to help with the smooth running of the cafe.

If you're interested in helping to create the Bracknell Repair Cafe, please email: bracknellrepaircafe@outlook.com for further details and to register your interest or visit us at our stand this years local events.

Latest News

The Trustees and Volunteers have been busy working to create the Bracknell Repair Cafe.  The  Trustees gave a great presentation at the recent Bracknell Forest Community Climate Summit on 8th July 2026.

We had another excellent workshop on Saturday, 18th June, with 20 volunteers attending St Andrew's Church, where the trustees shared the progress and we developed our fix lists and made our initial selection of materials and tools to be purchased.

We are still awaiting approval from the Charity Commission for CIO status but hope we are now reaching the end of the queue and we expect to hear soon.

We have now submitted our funding applications and remain confident that we will have the funds necessary to start the Cafe.

We are now planning two further workshops. The next workshop will be on Saturday, 12th September, where we will role-play the repair cafe process, and this will be followed by our friends and family pilot event on Saturday, the 3rd October to further develop our workflows. We are planning our first public event on Saturday, 7th November.

There is still plenty of opportunity to get involved, so please hold the date for our next workshops and watch out for our updates via email, Facebook, or on our webpage nearer the time.
