BFCCA is run by volunteer trustees, so we understand how busy everyone is. Not everyone can commit to a long-term volunteering gig, which is why we offer volunteering projects – some requiring no more than an hour.
Join our team of volunteers and make a difference in the lives of others. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Sign up today!
Do you have an eye for design and a little time to spare? We’d love help creating simple posters, flyers and social media templates that make our events and campaigns easy to spot and share. Even an hour here and there would make a real difference.
People across Bracknell Forest are doing inspiring things to live more sustainably but we need help finding and sharing their stories. If you enjoy talking to people, asking thoughtful questions and writing in a friendly way, this role could be a lovely fit. You might interview one person or group a month and help turn their experience into a short community story.
Our events are much easier to run with a few friendly people on hand. Events helpers might welcome people at the door, put out chairs, help with refreshments, support speakers or simply be a warm face for anyone arriving on their own. You don’t need any specialist knowledge, just a willingness to muck in and help people feel comfortable.
Can you mend, repair, sew, tinker or troubleshoot? Our Repair Café will bring people together to give household items a second life, from clothes and small electricals to bikes, toys and treasured bits and pieces. If you have a practical skill, you’d be happy to share once a month, we’d love to hear from you.
Our website is the place people go to find events, resources, stories and ways to get involved. We’re looking for someone who can help keep it tidy, up to date and easy to use. This could suit someone who enjoys organising information, spotting out-of-date details and making sure visitors can quickly find what they need.
Every charity needs someone who can calmly help when the tech refuses to behave. If you’re good with websites, email tools, forms, spreadsheets, online meetings or the occasional mystery error message, we’d be very grateful for your support. This could be an occasional role, helping when something needs fixing or setting up.
